Amity School of Liberal Arts, Amity School of Languages organized lecture on Online Education, Need of the Hour on 3^rd September 2020 by  Dr. Chandrachur Singh, Senior Assistant Professor, Hindu College DU.

The Main Objective of the event was to provide updated on the current situation to make students aware of the advantages and the disadvantages of online teaching and bring out their reaction as each and every student is going through it.

He spoke on online education which is the need of the hour during corona pandemic.  He stressed that good education was necessary for good conduct and overall well being of a person.  He highlighted that India lacked quality, equity and access to education and that online education could bridge the gap.  He highlighted the advantages of online education like breaking the four walls, no commuting, easy access, low cost etc.  He also pointed out the disadvantages as standard platforms to receive good education are not accessible to all, bad network, electricity problems.

In the end, the discussion was thrown open to the audience where students and the staff asked questions to the expert.
