The department offers science-based engineering curriculum. The curriculum focuses on imparting technical knowledge, improve problem solving and innovative abilities of our students. We follow multi-level pedagogy using hands-on practical projects based approach to reinforce theoretical concepts. The students have undertaken technically challenging high impact design projects like Formula Car, All Terrain Vehicle(ATV), Efficycle and a Hybrid car. Many of these projects have won us acclaim for their innovation in national and international competitions e.g. Supra SAE India, SAE BAJA, Efficycle, Go-Kart etc. We have a robust industry – academia collaboration programmes. Our students are placed in reputed companies like Hyundai, Honda, Volvoline, Siemens etc. We have strong emphasis on skill building.

Mechanical Engineering, a foundational discipline of engineering, plays a pivotal role in shaping the material world and advancing technological innovations. We offer a robust UG, PG and Integrated programs, emphasizing advanced technical learning, research-driven challenges, and interdisciplinary opportunities. With a strong focus on Industry 4.0, we are the first university in the country to align the B.Tech. program with this revolutionary paradigm. Our department offers a wide range of elective courses, allowing students to tailor their learning experience to their specific interests. Multidisciplinary collaboration, global integration, and industry-oriented problem-solving are fundamental components of our academic framework.
