Dr. Ivan Linscott, the Principal Investigator at Stanford, of the Radioscience Experiment (REX), on the New Horizons Mission, and also a Co-investigator on the mission. He visited ASET in Feb 2016 and had told extraordinary experience in the Pluto Encounter of last summer and also shared the story of the Mission along with recent results and some exciting images.

Dr. Vikas Kumar presented a research paper titled: 'Typing performance of the seated subjects on tablet under the vertical whole body vibration exposure "in International Congress on Sound and Vibration, 10th -14th July, 2016, Athens, Greece." He got financial assistance from Department of Science & Technology (DST), India for his travel to Europe. In the congress, a broad range of high-level technical papers from all over the world were presented. Distinguished plenary lectures presented recent developments in important topics of sound and vibration and included discussions about future trends.

They are pursuing the research internship program at Tamkang University, Taiwan and are working on a Research Project titled “Robust Techniques for Speech Emotion Recognition Using Cross-Correlation and Feature Extraction” under the guidance of Prof. Hui-Huang Hsu (Dean, College Of Engineering, Tamkang University, Taiwan) sponsored by Ministry of Education. They have received a Scholarship of 19,500 NTD for their visit to Taiwan.
