Dr. Aditya Maheshwari delivered an inspiring talk on "Renewable Energy Sources: An option or necessity". In his keynote address, he said that human race is going to face two serious problems in coming time: first fossil fuels are not going to be sufficient for more than 40 years and second, the pollution due to these fossil fuels is going to poison our atmosphere till as serious extent that either humans have to migrate from earth or the race tend to extinction. In this concern certain renewable energy like solar, wind, hydro energy into electricity is being used. He also added that one such kind of renewable energy devices that emerged in past few decades is Fuel Cells. Fuel Cells have good efficiency and has zero pollution rate. This is a new technology and therefore expensive now a days. However, researchers from all over the world are developing various new materials and designs to make it even more efficient and cost effective.

Dr. Aditya Maheshwari delivering the expert talk

The main motive of this expert talk was to encourage the young students and researchers to carry out research in renewable energy field and to inform them that replacing classic energy sources with renewable energy ones will not remain as a choice but a necessity soon and we should be aware of it..

The talk concluded with an Interactive Question and Answer session in which the students raised various queries related to the area..
