“Is Equality still a Myth in the Modern Society” was organised by ASLA on 5th May 2026.The event successfully fostered interdisciplinary academic interaction, encouraged meaningful intellectual discourse, and strengthened critical thinking, public speaking, and collaborative learning among participants.
The Discourse Meet was organized to provide an interdisciplinary platform for intellectual discussion and academic dialogue by bringing together students from the disciplines of English, Political Science, and History. It aimed to develop critical thinking on contemporary global politics, enhance public speaking and argumentative skills, encourage research-based academic discussions, foster active student engagement, and promote the exchange of diverse perspectives on societal issues through the lenses of law, literature, and social theory.
The Discourse Meet concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students across the English, Political Science, and History disciplines, who presented well-structured and research-based arguments on contemporary societal and global political issues. The interactive question-and-answer session enhanced analytical thinking, communication skills, and students' understanding of global political structures, fundamental rights, and equality.
