A Guest Lecture on “World Environment Day 2026” was organised by ASEES on 5th June 2026. The event sought to honor mothers through the symbolic act of tree plantation while encouraging participants to contribute towards environmental conservation and ecological restoration.
The World Environment Day 2026 Round Table Discussion and Plantation Drive, organized under the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.” and the campaign “एक पेड़ माँ के नाम / Plant4Mother,” aimed to promote environmental awareness, sustainability, and climate action among students, faculty, staff, and the wider community. It also aimed to provide a platform for meaningful dialogue on climate resilience, nature-based solutions, sustainable lifestyles, and environmental stewardship by bringing together participants from diverse age groups and professional backgrounds for an enriching exchange of ideas and experiences.
The plantation drive under the “एक पेड़ माँ के नाम / Plant4Mother” campaign effectively conveyed the message of environmental responsibility while symbolizing gratitude and respect towards mothers through tree planting. The round table discussion fostered insightful deliberations on climate change, sustainability, nature-inspired solutions, and the collective responsibility of individuals and institutions in safeguarding the environment. The intergenerational exchange of perspectives enriched the discussion and encouraged participants to adopt environmentally conscious practices in their daily lives.
