A Staff Development Program by ASAS from 15-19 July 2024
Amity School of Applied Sciences organised a Staff Development Program on ‘Empowering Lab Professionals for Lab Safety and Management’ from 15-19 July 2024. This commitment not only ensured the success and resilience of scientific endeavours but also aligned with global efforts to achieve a more sustainable and equitable future for all.
The aim of this program was to develop a highly skilled, innovative, and environmentally conscious laboratory workforce by providing comprehensive training, promoting efficient lab management practices, and encouraging responsible consumption and production patterns. The initiative sought to align laboratory operations with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically focusing on quality education (SDG 4), industry innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9), and responsible consumption and production (SDG 12)
In conclusion, this program successfully empowered laboratory professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive sustainable practices within their labs. By enhancing technical competencies, promoting innovation, and encouraging responsible resource management, the program contributed to the long-term sustainability of laboratory operations.
