Dr. Nancy Sharma is an Assistant Professor of English at Amity University, Noida. She has earned her doctoral degree from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Roorkee, India. With a keen interest in Literary Studies and Memory Studies, she contributes to a deeper understanding of how narratives influence our perceptions of the past and inform our present.
Dr. Nancy Sharma completed her Ph.D. from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee in 2024. Her doctoral research delves into the intricate interplay between history, memory, and forgetting, examining how these concepts shape individual and collective identities. Her research interests extend to Memory Studies, Gender Studies, and Indian Diasporic Writing in English. She has completed her Masters in English from the Department of English, University of Delhi and B.A. (Hons.) in English from Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi. She has recently published articles in journals including Critique: Studies in Contemporary Fiction (Scopus), Journal of International Women’s Studies (Scopus), 3L: The Southeast Journal of English Language Studies (Scopus), Journal of Middle East Women’s Studies (Scopus), and Religion (Scopus). She has also presented her research work(s) at numerous national and international conferences. Before joining Amity University, she has experience of teaching at the Central University of Jammu for one year and working as a Teaching Assistant for the NPTEL course on ‘Stage Fright’. She has also contributed as a reviewer to the Journal for Cultural Research (Scopus), Turkish Studies (Scopus) and 3L: The Southeast Journal of English Language Studies (Scopus).
