Dr. Priyanka Kumari completed her PhD from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani Campus, in 2020. Prior to joining Amity University, she was working as a Guest Faculty in the Department of English at BRM College, Munger University. She has worked as a Junior Research Fellow on a major UGC research project, exploring awareness, usage and implementation of Web 2.0 in education at the undergraduate level. Her teaching interests include Indian Writing in English; Sociolinguistics, English Prose and Writing Skills, Intercultural Communication Competence and Willingness to Communicate, Use of Literature for Language Teaching, Communication Skills, and Technical Report Writing.

Her research interests include factors affecting one’s willingness to communicate during intercultural encounters, use of literature in language teaching, and technology interventions in education.She is currently teaching Twentieth Century African Literature, Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century Novels, English Drama from Restoration to Victorian Age, Indian English Drama, Negotiation and Conflict Management, and Communication Skills.
