Core research interest includes investigating the soil seed banks of plant species from different habitats (from grassland to woodland) in order to use them as tool for climate change research and conserve them for environmental education, landscaping material and vegetation recovery. It helps to understand better on how seed bank communities reflects the past as well as future vegetation. Other research interest also includes seed ecology of the invasive species for restoration of the original landscape, forest fire ecology, urban forestry, ecology of invasive alien plant species, forest soil study, carbon stock estimation, etc.
Interested in teaching Plant science, Plantation forestry & Nursery Techniques, Tree seed technology, Wood Science & Technology, Silviculture, Forest Ecology.
Member, North East Centre for Environmental Education and Research, Imphal West, Manipur.
