Dr. Avshish Kumar has vast experience and expertise in the synthesis and characterization of Nanomaterials more specifically carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs & MWCNTs), graphene and its derivatives (GO, RGO & GNR), graphene based nanocmposites and other nanostructures such as ZnO, CuO, TiO2, SnO2, Bi etc for Gas sensing, optical sensing and Biosensing applications. Apart from synthesis of these nanomaterials, his research area also includes Si nanowire (SiNWs) on Si chip-based devices, Energy Storage Devices, Green and Clean Energy generation and Storage, Radioactive and Heavy metals detection in water and PCM based Thermal energy storage Devices for energy generation. He has excellent working experience in this field which is more than 15 Years. He has published more than 70 Research papers in International Journals of high repute, two (02) book chapters and various papers in conference proceedings. He has hands on working experience of various synthesis and characterization equipments such as low-pressure chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD), plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD), RF sputtering, Spin coating unit, high resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM), field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM), Raman spectrometer, X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and other equipments. He has life membership of many academic and research societies such as Indian Science congress association, Electron Microscopy Society of India, Semiconductor Society of India, Indian Physics Association, The Indian Physical Society, and Society for Nano Science and Technology. Dr. Kumar has been serving as an editorial board member and reviewer for some scientific journals. Under his guidance, two students have already completed his/her Ph.D. and currently he is guiding 02 Ph.D students and 02 PG students
