Dr. Abhishek Verma did his Ph.D. in Electronic Science from Delhi University. He further joined National University of Singapore, Singapore, as a post doc in the area of solar cells. Presently, he has been working as an Associate Professor at Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida, India, since 2010. He is teaching in Amity Institute of Renewable & Alternative Energy and pursuing his research activities in Amity Institute for Advanced Research & Studies (Materials & Devices). His areas of interest are Solar Photovoltaics, Solar Thermal nano-enhanced Phase Change Materials Energy Storage, Agrivoltaics, Clean Energy generation, Nanotechnology, Si Nanowires, Carbonaceous Nanoparticles, quantum dots and various optical & gas sensors & devices. He is involved in development of many innovative technologies, including Hybrid Thermal Cooling layer for Solar Panel cooling, prominent technologies for Solar Thermal Energy Storage and management for heat as well as cold storage, different types of Toxic Gas, UV & IR optical sensors, innovative sustainable Agrivoltaics and Solar Tree models. He is also working on the latest synthesis, fabrication and characterization of Si NWs, Graphene, CNT, thermally conducting highly porous mesh structures, etc. He has organized the 10 prestigious International Conferences, as Secretary/Convenor. He has filled more than 28 patents and 3 granted, edited 6 books, along with more than 50 papers in referred International Journals & Conferences and worked in 07 Govt. funded projects. His innovative technology design of Agrivoltaics is shortlisted/finalist in Time Higher Education Award 2024 (the OSCAR of Education). He is the recipient of the International Best Originality Award, TECO Taiwan, 2012. He is a member of the prestigious Society of Semiconductor Devices, and Solar eTribe, and Society for Nano Science & Nanotechnology. Also, an International Editorial Advisory Board Member of Journal of Science of the University of Kelaniya and reviewer of many reputed International Journals.
