Based in New Delhi, Debjani Roy is a media professional with over two decades of experience in Journalism, Television and Radio production. Prior to joining Amity University, she has served as a Television Journalist for many years. Among the news organizations she has worked for are Star News, India Tv, Sahara Samay Rashtriya, Zee News, News X, Headlines Today and CNN Networks, South Asia. She has produced many exclusive shows aired on prime time national television news channels extensively on a variety of topics including General Elections 2004 and 2009, politics, social development and public health. Roy is pursuing her PhD on Electronic Media Production from Jaipur National University. Being an alumni of South Point School, Kolkata and Amity University, Noida, UP, she holds Master’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and English along with a Masters-level Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication.
A media industry veteran, Roy has holistic experiences in training News Readers, Live News Management and WASP 3D Show reel. She has worked on IMPACT-UN projects with the United Nations in Delhi and New York. She enjoys reading, listening to music and solving cryptic crosswords in her leisure time. She is a member of prestigious Press Club of India and Indian Women’s Press Corps, Delhi.
