Amity University Jharkhand Organized “Mind Your English– A Workshop to Enhance Communication Skills”
Amity University Jharkhand, 16 Jan 2020: Amity University Jharkhand in its attempt to upgrade the youth of society and boost them up with confidence to compete in this competitive era organized a workshop to improve the written and spoken English through “Mind Your English”.
It is said that learning language is to understand others and to form connections so Amity University Jharkhand helped the youth to brush up this skill by enlightening them about the English language. A number of students from different schools and colleges participated in this workshop.
The program started with the National Anthem. On this occasion Prof. Dr. Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand, boosted the morale of the students with his inspiring words, “Understanding our internal desire and also understanding our uniqueness is very important.” He also told that winning is not important but winning our patience does matter.
The workshop had sessions to improve spoken English wherein students got to know that the first way to solve a problem is to identify it. The sooner one realizes one’s faults; the closer one is to correct them. Setting realistic targets identify our problem be it accent is or vocabulary.
The participants were also enlightened on how to improve writing and listening skills, resume making and interview facing techniques. It also included conduction of activities like GD, PI, and JAM, extempore and so forth. The program ended with the vote of thanks.
