Amitians shined at sports gala 'sangthan' 2019
As a part of its commitment to nation building through education,Amity University has always supported sports events and encouraged sporting talents.Amity University Jharkhand commenced its two-day Sports Meet, 'Sangthan' in the historic sports complex of Jharkhand Armed Police-1,Doranda.
Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Keshav Ranjan Banerjee,a specialized cricket coach, who also used to train present day cricketing legend of India,MS Dhoni. While addressing the event Bhattacharya said, "sports is not for making MS Dhoni or Virat Kohli but for developing your inner strength and to build healthy environment and a healthy culture."
Meanwhile, to encourage the participants, teaching staff along with University Vice-Chancelllor also enthusiastically participated in the 100 metres race. Prof.(Dr.) Raman Kumar Jha,Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand said,"I am proud to be a part of Amity family where my students showcase their extraordinary efforts to get through the tough competition." Prof. (Dr.)Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand said,"only a true coach can develop the sportsman spirit in a struggler."
University arranged several sports matches for the budding sportsman like cricket, football,volleyball, kabbadi etc.
The overall event was a huge success which was clearly visible in the happiness of faculty members as well as students.
