Industry leaders emphasize upon the Role of ‘Regulatory Architectures’ during 'BFSI Summit -2026', at Amity University
Amity School of Insurance, Banking and Actuarial Science (ASIBAS), Amity University Noida organized 'BFSI Summit -2026' on the theme, “BFSI and Regulatory Architectures”. The Summit brought together leading Regulators, Industry Experts, Academicians, Policymakers and Students to deliberate on the evolving regulatory landscape governing the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) Sector.
Addressing the students during the Inaugural Session, Chief Guest, Mr. Ashok Chandra, MD & CEO, Punjab National Bank, averred, “Over the past three to four years, the entire banking sector has witnessed significant growth. This is an excellent period for the banking industry since the country is developing rapidly in every area, whether it is the MSME, retail, or corporate sector.” Advising the students, Mr. Chandra said that students should always have faith in themselves, as self-confidence will enhance their capabilities and enable them to achieve all the goals they aspire to accomplish in life. He called upon the students to find a mentor in life, since proper guidance is essential for developing one’s inner potential, and cultivate qualities such as honesty and integrity.
Sharing his words of wisdom, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, stated, “Banking, financial services, insurance and regulatory frameworks serve as the backbone of the nation’s economic growth. Amity provides the students with an opportunity to learn from industry leaders and experts, which will make them future-ready.” Dr. Chauhan urged the students to dream big and work diligently to turn their aspirations into reality.
Guest of Honor, Mr. Randip Singh Jagpal, Whole Time Member (Law), Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), asserted, “Any financial transaction is fundamentally based on trust, which is strengthened by regulatory frameworks. The PFRDA regulates the National Pension System (NPS) for employees across various sectors, contributing to the growth and development of the pension market.” Mr. Singh emphasised that regulators should always remain customer-centric, technologically- enabled and more responsive to emerging needs of the industry.
Sharing his views on the occasion, Dr. Sadanand S. Date, Executive Director, SEBI, opined, “The BFSI Sector is undergoing rapid transformation driven by technological innovations, digital financial services, fintech disruptions, evolving risk environments, data governance concerns, and changing customer expectations. In this dynamic context, robust regulatory architectures and technology play a pivotal role in ensuring financial stability, consumer protection, compliance, transparency, and sustainable growth.” He advised the students to embrace technology and leverage it effectively across sectors.
Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said, “The BFSI Summit -2026 reaffirms ASIBAS's commitment to promote Industry-Academia engagement and advancing knowledge on critical issues shaping the future of the financial services sector. The Summit will contribute significantly to the discourse on creating resilient, adaptive and effective regulatory architectures for a rapidly evolving BFSI landscape.”
Highlighting the significance of the Summit, Mr. A. P. Singh, Director, ASIBAS, said, “The Summit will serve as a platform for insightful discussions on contemporary regulatory frameworks, emerging challenges, opportunities arising from digital transformation, risk management practices, regulatory technology (RegTech), cybersecurity, financial inclusion, and the future of governance within the BFSI ecosystem.”
During the Summit, Panel discussions on ‘Regulatory Architecture for a Digital Financial Ecosystem’ and “Evolving Architecture in the Insurance Industry – A Perspective”, were organized, wherein esteemed panellists including Mr. Atish Kumar Rout, Chief General Manager – Digital Banking Transformation Division, Punjab National Bank, Dr. Harish Yadav, Assistant Director, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India, Mr. Gagandeep Singh, Executive Vice President, Niva Bupa Health Insurance Co. Ltd., Ms. Somya Mehra. Senior Actuarial Associate, PWC(UK), amongst others participated.
