CLICK-O-MANIA – The National Photography Competition
The Amity School of Communication (ASCO), Amity University Madhya Pradesh, organised CLICK-O-MANIA – The National Photography Competition on 19 September 2026 at the ASCO Studio, B Block. The national-level photography event was organised around the theme “Heritage & Wildlife,” providing participants with an opportunity to explore photography as a medium for documenting India’s cultural heritage, wildlife and visual narratives.
The event brought together photography enthusiasts, students, and faculty members and invited guests in an interactive studio setting. The programme featured Ms. Zoya Thomas Lobo as Chief Guest, along with jury members Mr. Sanjay Dutt Sharma, a renowned wildlife photographer, and Mr. Gaurav Vishwas, Technical Expert, Canon. The photographs from the event show the interaction of guests with participants, technical guidance on photography, presentations and practical engagement around photographic work.
The competition also provided a platform for participants to engage with professional perspectives on photography and to understand the importance of responsible visual storytelling, technical knowledge, creative observation and the documentation of heritage and wildlife.
Objectives of the Event
1. To provide a national-level platform for students and photography enthusiasts to showcase their photographic talent.
2. To encourage creative exploration of heritage and wildlife through photography.
3. To promote photography as a tool for visual storytelling, documentation and cultural awareness.
4. To provide participants with opportunities to interact with professional photographers and photography experts.
5. To enhance participants’ understanding of photographic techniques, shooting practices and responsible visual representation.
6. To encourage students to observe, document and communicate stories related to heritage and wildlife through images.
CLICK-O-MANIA 2026 was conducted as a national-level photography competition at the ASCO Studio on 19 September 2026. The event focused on the theme “Heritage & Wildlife” and created an academic and professional environment for participants to engage with photography beyond classroom learning. The programme included interaction with the Chief Guest and jury members, photography-related guidance, presentation sessions and participant engagement.
The event photographs document the formal gathering, participant interaction, technical photography session, guest engagement and presentation activities. The presence of Canon branding and the interaction with a Canon technical expert further supported the technical and professional orientation of the event.
a. Participants received a national-level platform to present and engage with photography centred on heritage and wildlife.
b. Students and participants gained exposure to professional perspectives from an experienced wildlife photographer and a Canon technical expert.
c. The interaction helped participants connect creative photography with technical knowledge and professional photographic practice.
d. The event encouraged participants to explore heritage, wildlife and cultural subjects through visual storytelling.
e. The programme promoted experiential learning through presentations, interaction and practical engagement with photographic work.
f. The event strengthened awareness of responsible photography, shooting practices and the role of photography in documenting society, culture and the natural world.
g. The participation of an accomplished photojournalist and industry experts provided students with an opportunity to learn from practitioners and understand professional pathways in photography.
