VISIT OF THE MSME PEER REVIEW TEAM

Amity Innovation Incubator (AII), Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior, hosted a visit of the MSME Peer Team on 06 August 2026 for verification under the MSME Incubation Scheme. The MSME team comprised Sh. Rajeev Kumar, Deputy Director, Branch MSME DFO, Gwalior, and Sh. Gaurav Goyal, Assistant Director, MSME DFO, Indore. The visit was organised to assess and verify the facilities, infrastructure, institutional support, incubation ecosystem, documentation, and startup-related activities of Amity Innovation Incubator.

The visit also provided an opportunity for the MSME officials to interact with the senior leadership of the University, visit various academic and institutional facilities, review the functioning of AII, verify relevant documents, and interact with startups associated with the Incubator.

2. Objectives of the Visit

The major objectives of the MSME Peer Team visit were:

  1. To verify the infrastructure and facilities available at Amity Innovation Incubator.
  2. To assess the institutional support provided by Amity University Madhya Pradesh for incubation and entrepreneurship development.
  3. To verify relevant documents and records submitted under the MSME Incubation Scheme.
  4. To assess the startup incubation ecosystem and facilities available to student and other startups.
  5. To interact with the AII team and incubated startups.
  6. To visit important academic and institutional facilities supporting innovation, entrepreneurship, research and skill development.
  7. To assess the overall preparedness and functioning of AII under the MSME Incubation Scheme.

4. Proceedings of the Visit

4.1 Arrival and Welcome

The MSME Peer Team arrived at 10:00 hrs at the Foyer of Block-B, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior. The team was formally received by senior members of Amity Innovation Incubator (AII).

The visiting officials were welcomed to the University and briefed about the scheduled programme for the day.

4.2 Meeting with University Leadership

At approximately 10:05 hrs, the MSME Peer Team proceeded to the Pro Chancellor's Office, where they were formally welcomed by the Hon'ble Pro Chancellor and Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of Amity University Madhya Pradesh.

The Peer Team subsequently held a meeting with the Hon'ble Pro Chancellor, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research). During the meeting, discussions focused on the University's vision for innovation, entrepreneurship, research, startup development and incubation.

The role of Amity Innovation Incubator in nurturing innovative ideas, supporting student and faculty entrepreneurship, facilitating technology development and creating an ecosystem for startups was also discussed.

 

5. Visit to University Institutions and Facilities

From 11:10 hrs to 12:10 hrs, the MSME Peer Team visited various academic and institutional facilities of Amity University Madhya Pradesh.

The team visited the following facilities:

  • Amity Institute of Biotechnology
  • ASCO Studio
  • Moot Court
  • University Library
  • Amity Institute of Pharmacy
  • Amity School of Fashion Design & Technology
  • Amity School of Engineering & Technology

The visit provided the Peer Team with an overview of the University's academic infrastructure, laboratories, technical facilities, learning resources and multidisciplinary ecosystem.

The availability of such facilities was highlighted as an important component of the University's overall innovation and entrepreneurship environment.

 

6. Visit to Amity Innovation Incubator

At 12:10 hrs, the MSME Peer Team visited the Amity Innovation Incubator (AII) located in Block-E.

The AII team presented an overview of the Incubator, its objectives, activities, incubation facilities and support mechanisms for startups.

The Peer Team reviewed the available infrastructure and interacted with members of the AII team. The visit primarily focused on:

  • Incubation infrastructure and facilities;
  • Startup support mechanisms;
  • Innovation and entrepreneurship activities;
  • Institutional support for startups;
  • Documentation and records maintained by AII;
  • Startup registration and incubation processes;
  • Mentoring and capacity-building activities;
  • Facilities available to incubated startups; and
  • Overall functioning of the Incubator under the MSME framework.

The MSME officials also undertook verification of relevant documents and records pertaining to the Incubator.

 

7. Interaction with Startups

During the visit to AII, the MSME Peer Team also interacted with startups associated with the Incubator. The startups shared information regarding their business ideas, products/services, technological interventions, development stage and the support received from the Incubator. The interaction provided the Peer Team with an opportunity to understand the practical functioning of the incubation ecosystem and the way AII is supporting emerging entrepreneurs. Prof. (Dr.) Raghvendra Kumar Mishra, Chairman, AII, also presented the work and achievements of AII over the last two years. The discussion also covered areas such as mentoring, infrastructure, technology support, networking, business development and institutional assistance provided to startups.

8. Discussion with the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor

At approximately 14:10 hrs, the MSME Peer Team proceeded to the Vice Chancellor's Office, Block-D, for further discussion with the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor.

The discussion focused on the University's commitment towards promoting innovation and entrepreneurship and strengthening the institutional incubation ecosystem.

The importance of providing appropriate infrastructure, mentoring, networking opportunities and institutional support to students, researchers and aspiring entrepreneurs was also discussed.

9. Interaction with Team AII and Submission of Documents

From 14:30 hrs to 15:00 hrs, the MSME Peer Team interacted with the Team AII in the VC Conference Room, Block-D. During the interaction, the AII team provided necessary clarifications and information regarding the activities and functioning of the Incubator. The relevant document file and supporting records were submitted to the MSME Peer Team for verification and record. The interaction covered the operational activities of AII, incubation support, startup engagement, institutional infrastructure and documentation maintained by the Incubator.

 

10. Key Outcomes of the Visit

The major outcomes of the MSME Peer Team visit are summarised below:

  1. Successful completion of the physical verification visit under the MSME Incubation Scheme.
  2. Presentation of the University's academic and institutional infrastructure to the MSME Peer Team.
  3. Visit and assessment of facilities available at Amity Innovation Incubator.
  4. Verification of relevant AII documents and records.
  5. Interaction of MSME officials with the AII team and incubated startups.
  6. Discussion with the senior leadership of the University regarding innovation and incubation.
  7. Submission of the required document file to the MSME Peer Team.
  8. Strengthening of institutional engagement with MSME DFO for promotion of innovation, entrepreneurship and startup incubation.
