Amity University collaborates with Russian Universities to strengthen Russia–India academic and cultural cooperation

A delegation comprising of Dr. Gich Olga, Director, Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Ms. Nekhorosheva Svetlan, Head of the Studtourism Program, RUDN University and Ms. Lenets Anastasiia, Head- Special Project "Student Tourism Ambassadors", along with the students from leading Russian Universities such as Moscow State University of Technologies and Management, Kazan National Research Technological University, Volgograd State Medical University, Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, Moscow Aviation Institute and ITMO University, visited Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida Campus. The aim of the visit was to strengthen Russia–India academic and cultural cooperation and reinforce connections between students of both countries. 

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Gich Olga, Director at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, averred, “We feel honoured to visit a prestigious University like Amity and are extremely grateful for the warm welcome we received here.  India and Russia have a long-standing strategic partnership built on trust, defense cooperation, and strong diplomatic relations. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, through its Department for International Youth Cooperation with Northeast, Southeast and South Asian countries, drives Russia’s international academic and youth diplomacy. In addition, Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) in Vladivostok is a partner University of Amity, serving as the key institution which hosts exchanges and collaborative initiatives between the institutions. Together, we would like to lead programs that promote educational partnerships, cultural engagement, and people-to-people ties, strengthening Russia’s cooperation with Asian nations.”

Welcoming the delegation, Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor Amity Universities, said, “We are extremely delighted to welcome the Delegation from Russia.  Amity University would like to collaborate with Russian Universities in different areas such as management, science, engineering, and law amongst others, through joint Degree Programmes, Student Exchange Programmes and other joint initiatives, based on sharing of knowledge and learning between Amity and Russian Universities.”

During the visit, the delegation took a round of the Amity Campus including Central Library, Amity Centre for Artificial Intelligence, ASCO Studio and Amity Innovation Incubator.
