Amity University collaborates with Nottingham Trent University UK, to foster Research and Academic Partnership
A high-level delegation from Nottingham Trent University (NTU) UK, comprising of Mr. Stephen Williams, Director, NTU Global and Mr. Chris Crabot, Associate Director, NTU Global, visited Amity University Noida campus, with an aim to foster academic and research collaboration.
Mr. Stephen Williams, Director, NTU Global, averred, “Coming to Amity University feels like a homecoming. Amity University is the first choice of the students coming from NTU to learn the culture, business, management etc. of modern India. What makes it unique is that it provides global opportunities to students, by highlighting the importance of collaboration in the area of research and innovation. Amity is a student-centric university like NTU and the two universities are currently collaborating in the field of management. In the near future, we will consider joint collaboration in many other areas such as psychology, law, biotechnology, engineering, mass communication, and others.”
Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities, said, “Amity University is extremely delighted to collaborate with a prestigious University like NTU in various fields such as Law, Psychology, Engineering, in the form of Dual Degree Programmes, Student Exchange Programmes, joint research, conferences and workshops. Amity will provide all the resources and assistance to NTU and the partnership will be highly beneficial for the students and researchers of both the Universities.”
Dr. W. Selvamurthy, President, Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation, said, "Since the present times are opening up new opportunities for students, it is necessary to provide global exposure to the students. Considering India’s rapid development in all fields, mutual cooperation between institutions across the world, is essential to nurture students as future leaders. Research and innovation will get an impetus through this collaboration and new products can be developed by using AI, Blockchain and other emerging technologies.”
