International Yoga Day
To mark the occasion of International Yoga Day, Department of Student Welfare, Amity University Lucknow Campus organised a rejuvenating yoga session aimed at promoting health. There was active participation from about 90–100 attendees, comprising mostly faculty members and university staff.
The programme commenced at 9:30 AM, with a welcome address by the organising team. It was followed by a talk on the global significance of Yoga Day, by Yogacharya Mr. Shambhu Nath. He was also as the chief guest. The Yogacharya encouraged all present to embrace yoga as a way of life. The session provided the participants with a unique opportunity to explore the benefits of yoga, guiding them through a series of carefully curated asanas, pranayama, and meditation techniques.
By emphasising the significance of mindfulness and physical fitness in daily life, the session highlighted the crucial role these practices play in promoting overall well-being and resilience. Through a thoughtful blend of physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditative practices, participants gained valuable insights into the holistic benefits of yoga. The engaging and interactive nature of the session fostered a sense of community among attendees, creating a supportive environment conducive to learning and growth.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, extended to the instructor and participants alike. As attendees departed, they felt refreshed, revitalised, and motivated to incorporate the principles and practices of yoga into their daily routines, embracing a path towards enhanced physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
