'Amity School of Hospitality, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus successfully conducted a transformative Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled 'Bridging Academia and Industry: Enhancing Hospitality Education Through Faculty Development in the Hotel Sector.'
Spanning three premier hotels—Novotel Lucknow Gomti Nagar, Mercure Lucknow Gomti Nagar and The Centrum—the FDP provided faculty with hands-on exposure to real-time hotel operations across departments like front office, housekeeping, F&B, and Food Production. The program enriched academic understanding of industry best practices, technological advancements, guest expectations and sustainable hospitality trends.
Key takeaways included incorporation as improved curriculum alignment, adoption of experiential teaching methodologies, and the formation of robust academia-industry partnerships.
