Amity University inks MoU with Ducon Technologies to foster Research Collaboration
Amity University Noida inked an MoU with Ducon Technologies, with an aim to foster research collaboration and a strong industry-academia partnership by leveraging collective expertise, resources, and innovations to propel breakthroughs in the hydrogen sector. Ducon Technologies focusses on innovation and sustainability and works in the areas of air pollution control, materials handling, waste water treatment, hydrogen and green energy, amongst others.
Expressing his pleasure on signing the MoU, Mr. Aron Govil, Chairman & CEO of DUCON Group, averred, “We are glad to sign the MoU with Amity and discuss the endless opportunities for research collaboration. We have shared a good relationship with Amity over the years and with Amity’s resources and technologies, we will look forward to exploring new opportunities. Ducon and Amity will set up a joint research lab at Amity University, in addition, Ducon will also involve the students of Amity in various research projects, which will benefit both the parties. The partnership will foster R&D opportunities for new technologies which have the potential to be deployed by the industries. Ducon is also looking at improving upon many technologies by utilizing the resources of Amity. Through this association, environmental problems will be addressed by producing green hydrogen and offering sustainable solutions.”
Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, said, “Amity is extremely delighted to partner with Ducon Technologies and we will identify the areas of joint research. With hydrogen emerging as a key driver of the global clean energy transition, a mission-mode collaboration between industry and academia is essential to accelerate cutting-edge research, technological advancements and real-world applications. Innovation must benefit the society and we are certain that the partnership will benefit both the organizations as well as the society.”
Also present on the occasion was Mr. Debashish Banerjee, Project Manager, Ducon Technologies Inc. and Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Deputy Director General, AFSTIA, welcomed the guests. In addition, remarks were shared by Dr. B K Murthy, Dean, Translational Research and Entrepreneurship Development, Dr Sunita Rattan, Director, Amity Institute of Applied Sciences, Dr A K Singh, Sr. Vice President, Amity Foundation for Science Technology and Innovation Alliance and Subject Matter Experts from various campuses of Amity across the country.
