Guest Lecture on Empowering Future Special Educators for Clinical Excellence
Amity Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences, Amity University Lucknow Campus, successfully hosted a university-level guest lecture on “Empowering Special Educators in Supporting Children with Learning Disabilities in Clinical Settings” on 25th April 2025, led by Mr. Mohd. Ubais, Founder and Owner of Special Minds, Jasola, New Delhi. The session equipped students with vital insights on interdisciplinary collaboration, innovative clinical strategies, and ethical practices, while exploring clinical IEP planning, therapy-based instruction, and holistic child development.
Emphasizing the differences between clinical and traditional educational settings, the lecture focused on equipping future special educators with the necessary knowledge, tools, and collaborative strategies to function effectively in therapy-based environments such as hospitals, neurodevelopmental centres, and early intervention clinics. The session bridged educational and therapeutic interventions, promoting readiness for real-world rehabilitation environments, and laid the foundation for future workshops, research initiatives, and hands-on clinical exposure, reinforcing the commitment to preparing special educators for holistic support of children with learning disabilities.
