Workshop: Innovative Journalism: Tools, Truth and Storytelling Techniques
Amity School of Communication, in collaboration with the Innovation Council, hosted a Media Literacy Workshop titled Innovative Journalism: Tools, Truth and Storytelling Techniques. The session featured engaging presentations, real-world examples, and hands-on training led by two distinguished speakers - Mr Joydeep Dasgupta, Editor at News Sense and Trainer with the Factshala University Network, and Ms Anastasiia Rudenko, Editor-in-Chief of Rubryka, Ukraine.
Joining virtually from Kyiv, Ms Rudenko highlighted the importance of solution journalism, while Mr Dasgupta provided practical insights into navigating the complexities of today’s media landscape.
The workshop fostered lively interaction, with students participating in discussions and Q&A sessions. The participants were exposed to a range of contemporary tools and techniques, including the use of artificial intelligence in journalism, fact-checking methods, and innovative storytelling formats. The session proved to be both intellectually stimulating and practically valuable, equipping students with critical media literacy skills essential for journalists.
