Amity University and Delegates from Poland Embassy discuss the potential areas of academic collaboration

A delegation from the Embassy of Poland, comprising of H.E. Mr. Piotr Switalski, Head of the Embassy of Republic of Poland and Mr. Marek Kijewski, Counsellor, Embassy of the Republic of Poland at New Delhi, visited Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida Campus, with an aim to explore academic and research collaboration opportunities with Polish Universities.

 

H.E. Mr. Piotr Switalski, Head of the Embassy of Republic of Poland at New Delhi, averred, “Amity is a very well established and reputed University worldwide and it has done commendable work in academics and research. Today, India is emerging as a country which has immense potential for new opportunities in collaboration with other countries. Through our strategic partnership with Amity, we are looking forward to strengthening the relationship between the two countries. Amity University and Poland institutions can work together in many areas. Student exchange between the two institutions will provide them with global exposure, which will broaden their horizon and prepare them to work in other countries, as well. We must have a systematic approach for our collaboration and we will take it ahead in a structured manner.”

 

Mr. Marek Kijewski, Counsellor, Embassy of the Republic of Poland, opined, “At present, there are about 3,500 Indian students studying in Poland and we would like to have more students from India to study at Polish institutions, and would like to send Polish students to India for higher studies.”

 

Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, AUUP, stated, “The purpose of this visit is to develop mutual cooperation between Amity University and Poland Universities. The New Education Policy 2020 has opened doors for mutual cooperation, through joint research, dual degrees, and joint degrees and this collaboration marks the beginning of a long-standing, mutually beneficial association, which will nurture future leaders.”

 

Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor, Amity Universities presented an overview of the global opportunities for students and Dr. W. Selvamurthy, President, ASTIF presented the research initiatives of Amity.
