School Students interact with Delegates from Yorkville University Canada, during Career Progression Session at Amity
Amity University hosted a Career Progression Session for school students, wherein the students interacted with Dr. Julia Christensen Hughes, President & Vice Chancellor and Mr. Liam Dutton, Vice-President, Student Recruitment from Yorkville University, Canada. Around 100 students from reputed schools, including BLS World School and GD Goenka, participated in the session. The aim of the session was to provide information about future career pathways and international education opportunities, to school students.
Dr. Julia Christensen Hughes, President & Vice Chancellor, Yorkville University, Canada, averred, “We are excited to be here at Amity University today and interact with the school students and resolve their queries. Amity University is a highly reputed and prestigious institution across the world, and we would like to invite students from Amity University to our University to pursue their higher studies in the areas of Accountancy, Interior Design, Supply Chain Management and Film Making, amongst others.”
Welcoming the school students and the delegation, Dr. Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor Amity Universities, stated, “We are extremely delighted to host the Career Progression Session for school students. After Class XII, students are often confused and worried about their career prospects and are unable to decide which programme and institution to choose for their higher studies. With this session, we aim to instil the confidence amongst the students that Amity University will take care of all their needs and has a vast variety of Programmes to offer, depending upon their interest. Today, the school students will get the wonderful opportunity to interact with the delegates from Yorkville University and understand the pathways available for studying at the University. We are also looking forward to exploring the opportunities for dual degrees, articulation and pathway programs for students, student and faculty exchanges, joint research initiatives, thereby strengthening the academic partnership between the two Universities.”
On this occasion, Maj. Gen. Bhaskar Chakravarty, Director - Admissions, Amity University, provided detailed information about the Programmes offered by the University and the Session concluded with an interactive Q&A Session. The delegation and the school students took a round of the Amity campus and visited Central Library, ASCO Studio, H Block Plaza and Amity Innovation Incubator.
