Amity Institute of Travel & Tourism, Kolkata hosted an expert talk on The Art of Tour Guiding. The event featured Mr Pranajit Bose, the Regional Tour Guide accredited by Incredible India, under the Ministry of Tourism & Culture, Government of India.
Drawing on his vast experience with both the Group and Free Independent Travelers (FITs), Mr Bose offered deep insights into the essential skills, challenges, and responsibilities of professional tour guiding. He underscored the critical role of tour guides as the cultural ambassadors who not only elevate visitor experiences but also contribute significantly to the promotion and preservation of local heritage.
He also shared highlights from his collaborations with some reputed international travel organizations and recounted his engagements with high-profile clientele, including diplomats and celebrities. His talk provided students with a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic and evolving landscape of tour guiding.
