Vietnamese and Amity start-ups explore collaboration opportunities
A high-level Delegation from Vietnam Embassy comprising of Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, Counsellor, Ms. Tran Thi Lan Huong, First Secretary, Ms. Hoang Thi Yen, First Secretary from Vietnam Trade Office, Ms. Pham Thanh Huong, from the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), and Founders of various Vietnamese startups visited Amity University Uttar Pradesh (AUUP), Noida Campus, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the areas of innovation, startups, incubators, and accelerators. The visit aimed to explore potential collaboration opportunities between the startup ecosystems of Vietnam and India through engagement with the Amity Innovation Incubator at Amity University.
Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, Counsellor, Vietnam Counsellor, stated, “We are extremely pleased to be present today at Amity University and discuss start-up ideas with the students and faculty. We are looking forward to new avenues and opportunities to work together in many areas and are certain that this meeting will result in the exchange of ideas and knowledge, fostering a meaningful cooperation between the startup ecosystems, which will help in the economic growth of both the countries.”
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh stated, “We, at Amity, strongly encourage and support our students and faculty to launch their own start-ups and become entrepreneurs, thereby contributing to the economy of the country. The visit will help in exploring potential collaborations between Vietnamese and Indian startups, incubators, and accelerators, facilitate knowledge exchange on fostering deep-tech entrepreneurship and innovation, discuss opportunities for joint incubation programs, startup exchanges, and investment partnerships and strengthen government-to-business (G2B) and business-to-business (B2B) engagements.”
On this occasion, Amity student, Sumit Chaudhary provided information about his start up, “Print & Parcel”, dedicated to providing high-quality, convenient printing and stationery solutions. Students Khushi Sinha, Misthi Tayal and Nischay Mittal shared their journey of launching their start up “CaviSafe”, a healthy substitute for sweets, promoting overall well-being. In addition, Dr. Ranu Nayak, Professor, Amity Institute of Nanotechnology presented her start up, “USEorb”, which provides sustainable solution for marine oil spills.
During their visit, the delegation vsiited the high-tech laboratories, Drone Centre, Central Library, Technology Enabling Centre and Amity Innovation Incubator.
