Amity Institute of Education Organizes National Seminar on Viksit Bharat@2047

Noida, 17th March 2025: Amity Institute of Education, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, successfully organized a National Seminar on Viksit Bharat@2047: Unified Vision Towards Holistic and Multidisciplinary Education. The seminar commenced with a traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony and invocation of Goddess Saraswati through a mesmerizing rendition of Saraswati Vandana, performed by the choir group led by Ms. Sakshi Tiwari from B.Ed. 2nd Semester.

 

Guest of honour Dr. Neeraj Tandan, Principal, Panchsheel Balak Inter College, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Neeraj addressed the gathering with his motivational words of wisdom for the audience, on theme of the seminar, Bharat as Vishwa Guru. Dr. Tandan talked about how Bharat has been a centre of wisdom and learning, nurturing a tradition where education is not just about acquiring knowledge but about holistic development and achieving the highest pursuit of wisdom.

 

The welcome address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Alka Muddgal, Head of the Institute, who extended greetings to all dignitaries and guests. The Master of Ceremony, Dr. Neetu M. Shukla, formally introduced the esteemed dignitaries, who were then felicitated with Tulsi saplings and shawls as a token of honour.

 

The inaugural session was initiated with a thought-provoking deliberation by Prof. (Dr.) Ranjana Bhatia, Acting Director & Head, Amity Institute of Psychology & Allied Sciences. She engaged the audience with a discussion on India's historical prominence as the "Golden Bird" and the key aspects of Viksit Bharat@2047, emphasizing India’s journey towards becoming a Vishwa Guru (Global Leader).

Prof. (Dr.) Kalpana Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Education, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech on the role of teachers in nation-building and the essential qualities that contribute to shaping responsible future citizens.

 

Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Bansal, Additional Pro Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, delivered a charismatic address emphasizing the University’s vision of nurturing global leaders with strong values. He underscored the significance of teaching as a service towards nation-building and the role of educators in creating success stories for every learner.

 

The seminar comprised of 3 plenary sessions moderated by the esteemed faculty members, Dr. Mahima Gupta, Professor, Amity Institute of Education, Dr. Anshu Mathur, Associate Professor, Amity Institute of Education & Dr. Pratibha, Principal, Shri Jairam Mahila College of Education. The sessions consisted of more than 30 speakers across different Universities and Higher Education Institutions across India. The session delved into enriching discussions on the future of education and India’s role in shaping a holistic and multidisciplinary learning environment

The session concluded with words of inspiration from Prof. (Dr.) Alka Muddgal, who emphasized the urgency of envisioning India as a Vishwa Guru and fostering global citizens right from the foundational years of education.
