International Women's Day, Amity School of Engineering and Technology organized an insightful talk show titled ‘She Innovates: Journey of Women leaders in AI and Science’
To mark the occasion of International Women's Day, Amity School of Engineering and Technology organized an insightful talk show titled ‘She Innovates: Journey of Women leaders in AI and Science’ on 11th March 2025. The event brought together accomplished women leaders who have made significant contributions in their respective fields, inspiring the next generation of innovators.
The esteemed panelists included Dr. (Smt.) N. Ranjana, Director, Directorate of Futuristic Technology Management (DFTM), DRDO, who spoke about the pioneering role of women in spearheading innovative initiatives and their impact on scientific advancements. Ms. Yukti Punjabi, Director, Ecosystem, IBM Technology, India & South Asia, who shared insights into how women are driving digital transformation in the IT Industry. Dr. Anjali Sharma, Senior Principal Scientist & Head, Knowledge Resource Center, NPL, CSIR, who emphasized the importance of research and knowledge management in AI and emerging technologies.
The session began with a warm welcome and introduction of the esteemed panelists by Prof. (Dr.) Nitasha Hasteer, Dy. Director (Academics) and Head of the Information Technology Department, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, who moderated the session. The discussion transitioned into ‘Her Story Unfiltered’, where the panelists shared personal experiences, challenges, and achievements, offering inspiration to aspiring women in STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Management) fields. This was followed by an engaging Q&A session, where the audience had the opportunity to interact with the speakers, gaining deeper insights into leadership, innovation, and research in AI and emerging technologies. Prof. (Dr.) K. M. Soni, Dy. Dean, Engineering & Technology, Amity School of Engineering & Technology, along with Prof. (Dr.) Nitasha Hasteer, Dy. Director (Academics) and Head of the Information Technology Department, Amity School of Engineering & Technology and Senior faculty felicitated the experts and thanked them for their valuable insights during the session which was of immense benefit to the research scholars, and students.
The event successfully celebrated the achievements of women in AI and science, inspiring young minds to break barriers, embrace leadership roles, and drive innovation forward.
