Team “CODEpreneurs” from SRM Institute of Science & Technology Chennai, wins “Agent’s Fest-2025”, held at Amity

Amity University Student Branch of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) organized, “Agent’s Fest 2025”, a National- level, theme-based Pitching Competition, wherein students from Engineering domain pitched technology-based ideas on various themes such as Blockchain & Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Healthcare.  The event aimed to bring together students, developers, tech enthusiasts, and industry professionals from diverse technical institutions across the nation to showcase their coding prowess. It also aimed to enhance the skills of the students, foster innovative thinking, networking and cultivating a spirit of teamwork in the students.

 

The competition witnessed a remarkable response with a total of 185 registrations received, out of which 99 teams were shortlisted in the first round. Out of these 99 teams, 20 teams were shortlisted for the second round and 10 teams were shortlisted for the finals round. Students from various Universities across the country including Parul University Vadodara, SGT University Gurgaon, Chennai Institute of Technology, University School of Automation and Robotics, GLA University, GL Bajaj University, Mandsaur University Madhya Pradesh, Mahatma Gandhi Mission College of Engineering and Technology, SRM Institute of Engineering and Technology Chennai, amongst others, participated in the competition.

 

The Winner was team “CODEpreneurs” from SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Chennai. The First Runner Up team was team “The Phoenix” from Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, Delhi and the Second Runner up was team “DevMechanics” from Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies-Technical Campus.  The top three winners were awarded cash prize of Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000, respectively.

 

Dr. B. K. Murthy, Dean (Translational Research and Entrepreneurship Development) Science, Engineering and Technology, said, “Students must become the master of the latest technologies such as AI, Data Science, Meta Verse, which are extremely important in the current scenario since they are being used in every area. Students must always think about how they can use technology for the benefit of the masses. Passing exams should not be the aim but thinking innovatively, out of the box and coming up with solutions for critical problems should be the goal.”

Prof.  (Dr.) K. M. Soni, Deputy Dean, Domain - Engineering & Technology AUUP, said, “As digital transformation accelerates, AI shows the potential to impact all aspects of our lives. The IEEE Student Branch at Amity Noida believes that demystifying and democratizing AI technology is a necessary step for digital readiness, especially for the students.” He called upon the students to never underestimate the power of competition and give it their best shot. Participation is more important than winning or losing, therefore students must never be afraid of failure and must learn from them”
