6th Convocation Ceremony
On 26 November 2024, Amity University Kolkata had its sixth convocation for the class of 2024 at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in Kolkata. The event, which showcased the results of years of hard work and efforts, was a significant occasion for the graduating students, their families, and the university. 1798 students received degrees, in addition to 94 academic and 37 non-academic honours. The pinnacle of recognition came in the form of two prestigious Honorary Doctorates awarded to Smt. Geetanjali Vikram Kirloskar, Chairperson & MD, Kirloskar Systems and Shri Sandeep Kumar, CEO, L&T Semiconductor Technologies who congratulated the graduates and for their future endeavours and praised the value system of the Amity family and the Sanskars that the students imbibe.
Dr Atul Chauhan, Hon’ble Chancellor of Amity University Kolkata, expressed his immense joy at the accomplishments of this forefront university. Underlining the global presence of Amity with 12 universities, 26 schools in India, 14 overseas campuses, and over 2 lakh students, he referred to the visionary leadership of Dr Ashok K. Chauhan, Hon’ble Founder of the Amity Universe. Senior Vice President Mr U. Ramachandran praised the Amitians for their exceptional qualities and reminded them of the results of their academic pursuits. Vice-Chancellor (Prof). Dr. Sanjay Kumar acknowledged the students' diligence and academic rigour while highlighting the institution’s groundbreaking accomplishments. The event was a testament to the institution’s commitment to shaping future leaders through a blend of academic excellence, ethical values, and a strong sense of community.
