Spooky Tales and Life on Land
Amity University Jharkhand organized two vibrant events on 28 October 2024. The first one, an electrifying Halloween event Spooky Tales, was organized by Amity Institute of Information Technology. It brought together students for a thrilling lineup of activities including cosplay, a skit competition, dance face-off, music mania, face painting, and many fun games. The participants displayed their creativity in cosplay, while the dance face-off and skit competition added a competitive flair. The event Spooky Tales truly exhibited student engagement and a festive atmosphere on the campus.
Amity School of Communication hosted the second event, a skit competition on Life on Land, focusing on sustainability. Ms Resham Fatma, an acid attack survivor and National Bravery Awardee, who was invited as the guest speaker, spoke about resilience and social responsibility. While narrating her horrible experience of acid attack which happened when she was in Class 11, she discussed the medical, police and social facilities provided by the government to the survivors. She had a zeal for pursuing higher education, and she was encouraged constantly by her family. She passed her Class 12 final exam with 87 percent marks and qualified for the entrance examination of JNU and also for the prelims of Civil Services Exam later. However, she chose to be a freelance writer and journalist.
