4th Biennial International Conference on Future Learning Aspects of Mechanical Engineering (FLAME-2024), commences at Amity
Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida campus, organized the 4th Biennial International Conference on the theme ‘Future Learning Aspects of Mechanical Engineering (FLAME-2024)’, from 31st July to 02nd August 2024.
On this occasion, Amity University signed MoU with Universidad de Tarapacá, Arica-Chile, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal, Punjab and Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary.
Addressing the students, Chief Guest, Dr. Manickavasagam, Programme Director, Strategic Systems, DRDO, averred, “The Conference provides a great opportunity to interact with researchers from India and abroad. Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest streams of engineering and it plays a crucial role in our day to day lives. Automation and innovation are the key to the development of new products and technologies and students must develop new technologies to provide solutions and outcomes to the challenges of today’s world. There is a gap between the skill sets possessed by the professionals and requirements of the industry, therefore there is a need to fill this gap and provide new skill sets to the students so that they can be at par with the industry.”
Sharing the way ahead and roadmap for future, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, stated, “Amity University is amongst the best University today in the world and it strives to be number one in the area of Space Science & Technology. The galaxy of speakers present today will determine the success of the conference since synergy of minds is extremely crucial to achieve meaningful outcomes. When like-minded scientists come together, huge developments take place in every field.” He called upon the students to work hard and aspire to achieve their goals with great confidence and conviction.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. N Ranjana, Director, Directorate of Futuristic Technology Management, DRDO, said, “Industry-academia partnership is of utmost importance and DRDO and Amity University have been working very closely on a lot of projects. A multi-disciplinary approach along with new idea generation is the need of the hour to expand the science and technology landscape of the country.”

During the Inaugural Session, Conference Proceeding of FLAME-2024 was released. Also present on the occasion were Dr. W. Selvamurthy, President ASTIF, HOIs, researchers and students of Amity and the opening address was delivered by Dr. Basant Singh Sikarwar, Head- Mechanical Engineering Department, AUUP, Noida.

Srinivas Reddy, IIT Madras, Dr. N Ranjana, Director, Directorate of Futuristic Technology Management, DRDO HQs, New Delhi, Prof. (Dr.) Edgar Estupiñan, University of Tarapaca, Chile, Prof. (Dr.) Sivarao Subramonian, UTeM Malaysia, Prof. (Dr.) Andallib Tariq, IIT Roorkee and Keynote Talks by Dr. Rituprna Datta,Capgemini Technology Services India Limited, Bengaluru, Prof. (Dr.) Pallab Sinha Mahapatra,IIT Madras and Dr. Vikas Kumar, NIT Kurukshetra, amongst others. In addition, Technical Posters will also presented by the students.
