Amity University inks MoU with Wipro Technologies to upskill and provide placement opportunities to students
Amity University Uttar Pradesh signed an MOU with Wipro Technologies Ltd., to develop the skills of the students and provide placement opportunities to the students. The MOU between Amity University Wipro Ltd aims to provide a knowledge-intensive and job-oriented training program to students and fresh graduates for continuous learning about the IT Services Industry and to acquire the required competencies and other essential skills deemed helpful for their personal and professional growth in this area.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sanjeev Jain, COO, Wipro Technologies Ltd, averred, “Amity University is a globally renowned institution, and we are extremely pleased to sign the MoU with Amity. Apart from providing training and placement opportunities to Amity students, Wipro Technologies also aims to engage with Amity for enrolling Wipro employees in the Higher Education Programs offered by Amity, since it will be a great value addition to the already existing skills and capabilities of Wipro employees.”
Expressing her pleasure on this occasion, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh stated, “Amity is extremely delighted to sign the MoU with a globally recognized and highly reputed organization, Wipro technologies. The MoU strongly focuses upon the integration of industry-specific course curriculum based on cybersecurity, conducting training, and sessions by Wipro professionals and providing campus placement opportunities to the students in niche areas. Connect to the industry and hands on experience is extremely crucial when it comes to skill development of students. Through this MoU, Amity looks forward to working closely with Wipro Technologies, in the areas of reskilling and training, thereby contributing to the industry. Academia and industry should work together, and we are certain that this MoU will be mutually highly beneficial for both organizations.”
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anjani Bhatnagar, Deputy Director, Amity Technical Placement Centre, said, “The course curriculum of the skill-based training program will be curated by Wipro, in partnership with Amity faculty members and concerned authorities. The program involves various engagement efforts by Wipro Technologies for students during their 8th semester. Pre-selected students who successfully undergo this program, may be given an internship opportunity in their 8th Semester (4th Year) by Wipro Technologies. “
