Two-week Summer School Program commences at Amity University
Two-week Summer School Program, from 10th to 21st June 2024, started at Amity University Noida Campus, with participation of over 350 school students from across India. Summer School is a distinctive program which provides high school students with an opportunity to experience university life before stepping into college life, allowing them to make more informed career decisions.
Around 350 students from 180 schools across India including Good Shepherd Knowledge School, Kasiga Dehradun, Oberoi International School, Mumbai, Excelsior American School, G.D. Goenka Global School, Ecole Global International Girls School, Doon International School, Daly College Indore, Prudence Pathways, Suncity School Sector-54 Gurugram and many others, have participated in the Program.
Highlighting the significance of the Programme, Mr. Anjani Kumar Bhatnagar, Deputy Director, Amity Technical Placement Centre, said, “The two-week Summer School Program provides the opportunity to the students delve into various areas, including management, law, engineering, journalism structured to equip students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in their respective selected fields. through engaging, hands-on learning methods which is a journey of self-discovery for students. The faculty at Amity University is highly qualified and experienced, and they provide personalized attention to each student. The program also includes guest lectures from Industry experts, personality grooming sessions and cultural activities for students, which helps in nurturing their talent and skills.”
During the two-week Program, sessions on "The Future of Insurance, Banking, and Actuarial Science: Trends and Challenges ahead" by Amity School of Insurance, Banking and Actuarial Science, "How AI is Transforming Our World: A Journey into the Future of Artificial Intelligence" by Amity Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Advertisement: The Art of Persuasion Enhanced by the Storytelling Power of Photograph " by Amity School of Communication, "Unlocking Creativity with Mobile Filmmaking: A Guide to Shooting and Editing on Your Phone" by Amity School of Film & Drama, and many other sessions, will be held. In addition, Fitness Sessions, Yoga Session, Zumba Session, and various Sports Activities will also be organized.
Over the years, students from more than 850 schools from India and abroad have participated in Amity Summer School Programs, including Ysgol Friars, Wales UK United World College, Singapore, Shri Ram School, Dhirubhai Ambani International School, among many others.
