Blockchain Technology Experts interact with students at Amity University

Amity University Uttar Pradesh hosted the visit of a team of Experts from CoE Blockchain Technology, Gurugram, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), under the Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India. The initiative aimed to empower students with practical knowledge and skills in Blockchain Technology encouraging them to get incubated as Blockchain start-ups at Apiary, a Centre of Entrepreneurship in Blockchain Technology.

Addressing the students, Dr. Satya N Gupta, Chairman India Blockchain for Productivity Forum & Advisor CoE Blockchain STPI, MeitY, Government of India, averred, “Blockchain technology is being used by the government bodies and startups effectively, in the current scenario. Blockchain Productivity Forum (BPF) aims at promoting Blockchain adoption across India and internationally. We are working with Government and Non-Government bodies to proliferate this technology, envisioning ourselves to be the thought-leaders behind the successful implementation in a variety of industries. India Blockchain for Productivity Forum is also working towards building a community which will include set of thought leaders, technocrats and people with strong field knowledge in diverse domains.

 

Sharing his views on the occasion, Shri Chetan Sharma – COO, Centre of Entrepreneurship in Blockchain, Software Technology Parks of India, Gurugram, Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India, said, “Utilizing the decentralized nature of blockchain, startups across the globe are pioneering innovative solutions to revolutionize various processes including traditional supply chain processes, banking process and other consumer-led businesses.” He called upon the students to start their own ventures and said, “Starting your own venture helps in your professional growth since it enriches you with great learning experience and polishes your skills.”

 

Mr. Voruganti Aravind, Blockchain Expert and Knowledge Partner, Centre of Entrepreneurship in Blockchain, Software Technology Parks of India, Gurugram, said, “Blockchain brings digital trust since it is a Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) that allows data to be stored and synchronized across multiple nodes in a network. Each block in the chain contains a cryptographically secure link to the previous block, creating a tamper-proof record of the transactions. Blockchain technology is being used in various industries such as Banking, Capital, markets, Supply Chain, Healthcare, Aviation, Telecom and many more.”

Dr. B. K. Murthy, Dean (Translational Research and Entrepreneurship Development), Science, Engineering and Technology, Amity University, said, “The free of cost pre-incubation programme is meant for students who are interested in starting their own venture in Blockchain Applications. The Centre of Entrepreneurship (CoE) Blockchain Technology of STPI would be providing free training programme to these students who are keen to have practical knowledge in developing Blockchain applications. The startups, if selected for incubation under the CoE for Blockchain, will get seed funding based on the level of their ideation.”

The session concluded with an Interactive Session with Amity students for Apiary’s Pre-incubation Program, wherein the students presented their innovative ideas based on blockchain technology.
