Amity University joins hands with International Hellenic University (IHU), Greece, for fostering Academic and Research Collaboration

A high-level delegation from International Hellenic University (IHU) Greece, visited Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida Campus to explore the potential areas of academic collaboration. The delegation was led by Professor Konstantinos Diamantaras, Vice-Rector for Internationalization, Public Relations and Digital Governance, and comprised of Prof. Evangelos Christou, Professor - Management & Tourism, Prof. Korina Katsaliaki, Associate Professor, Operations Management, Prof. Nikolaos Monokrousos, Associate Professor in Soil Ecology, and Prof. Stephanos Kordosis, Assistant Professor History, IHU Greece.

 

Highlighting the purpose of the visit and areas of collaboration with Amity, Prof Konstantinos Diamantaras, Vice Rector for Internationalization, IHU Greece, averred, “The aim of our visit is to expand and enhance the international research programs in the areas of Design, Economics, Energy, Engineering, Health Sciences, Humanities, Finance, Informatics, Legal Sciences, Social Sciences and Technology. We are also looking at producing high quality scientific work which can be subsequently published in high-ranking international academic portals. In addition, developing new international programs in categories such as Distance Learning Joint Programmes, International Summer Schools, Student and Faculty Exchange Mobility Programs, amongst others.”

 

Welcoming the delegation and presenting an overview of Amity Education Group, Rear Admiral Alok Bhatnagar, Deputy Director General, International Affairs Division (IAD), stated, “Amity Education Group is strongly committed to provide global exposure to its students so that they develop a holistic, global perspective and broaden their horizon. We are excited to collaborate with International Hellenic University (IHU), Greece, in the areas of India Immersion Program, Student Exchange Programs, Articulation Agreement for Dual Degree for students from both Universities, Study Abroad Program, research collaboration and Joint Workshops and Seminars.” 

 

Dr. A.K. Singh, Senior Vice President, Amity Foundation for Science Technology and Innovation Alliance, said that this collaboration will be highly beneficial for students of both institutions. Amity and IHU can also work together in the area of Biotechnology and Artificial Intelligence, and Sustainable Environment.”

 

Also present on the occasion were senior faculty members of Amity who introduced themselves to the delegation and exchanged ideas on the key areas of cooperation.  The delegation also took a round of the campus including Central Library and Amity School of Communication Studio, during their visit.
