Tala Alamuddin, internationally renowned Fashion Designer from Singapore, bestowed upon 'Honorary Professorship' by Amity University

Tala Alamuddin, internationally renowned Fashion Designer from Singapore was bestowed upon 'Honorary Professorship' by Amity School of Fashion Technology, Amity University Noida.

Welcoming Tala Alamuddin, Mrs. Divya Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity School of Fashion Technology and Amity School of Fine Arts, said, “Amity is a global University and therefore, it is crucial for the students to develop a global perspective in their respective fields. Amity is offering many programs to foster for internationalization such as the three continent Program and many others. Amity Institute of Fashion technology has grown immensely in the last few years and there are approximately 6000 students of Fashion Technology across all Amity campuses. We are certain that Ms. Tala Alamuddin’s visit will inspire the students to work hard and make their mark in the area of fashion technology.”

Delivering her Acceptance Speech, Tala Alamuddin averred, “I am extremely honoured and pleased to be at India’s most esteemed University and I’m immensely grateful to Amity University for bestowing this honour upon me. It took me a long time to identify my skills, but it has been an incredible journey. The world is an oyster and I believe that human beings have the qualities of compassion and empathy through which they can always help the society. Everyone is unique and therefore they should be themselves and stay true to their core empathetic values. We all are one family, and we must support, and encourage each other in all our endeavours.”

Sharing tips for beginners who are going to launch their own brand, she said, “Follow your heart and be consistent and resilient. Never give up and keep working towards your goal relentlessly. Do not focus too much on the outcome and enjoy the process. “

Prof. (Dr.) Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor Amity University Uttar Pradesh, stated, “We are very fortunate to have a role model, Ms. Tala Alamuddin, amongst us today whose motivational journey will inspire the young minds of fashion Technology and inspire them to achieve their goals. Today, women are making their mark in every field, and we aim for Viksit Bharat@2047, the first thing is empowerment of women, “Nari Shakti”. When the women of a country are empowered, the whole country becomes empowered. Ms. Tala is shaping the fashion industry and has taken it to new heights through her talent, skills and creativity. Therefore, Amity is proud to acknowledge her huge contribution to the fashion industry, which will be highly motivating for the students of Amity and the youth of the country.”

The Programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Prof (Dr) Pradeep Joshi, Director General & Dean (Applied Arts/Fine Arts/Performing Arts/Visual Arts), and was attended by students of Amity School of Fashion Technology, Amity School of Fine Arts and Amity School of Performing Arts, who were present in large numbers.
