 Amity University Madhya Pradesh organizes Fresher’s Party “MELANGE 2023”

 
Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized the Fresher’s Party ‘MELANGE 2023’ on 6th October 2023 for the students of first year across all the departments of different streams. The event was hosted in a physical mode at the playground, Block-A, AUMP, by the students of second year of different streams under the guidance of the faculty Coordinators of different Schools of AUMP. The event was organized under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Trishu Sharma, Director, Amity School Communication.
 
 
The event commenced with the musical performance by the Amiband (Musical Band of Amity Students) and traditional welcome of the students of first years with Tilak. The main performances conducted on stage were Fashion Show Competition, Dancing Battle and Singing Competition.
The Fashion Show Competition was conducted in three phases with more than Forty-Four (44) enthusiastic students as participants in the event. The Distinguished Judges invited to judge the competition were Dr. Astha Joshi, Assistant Professor, ABS; Dr. Rakhi Singh Chauhan, Prof & HoD, ALS; and Ms. Anvesha Singh, AISS at AUMP. The parameters for judgment were – Confidence, Grooming, Attire, Body language and walk, and Verbal communication (Introduction). The students declared winners for the Fashion Show Competition are as follows:
§  Mr. Fresher - Kushal Chawla (ABS)
§  Ms. Fresher - Shruti Singh Parmar (ALS)
§  Best Attire male - Yogesh Upadhyaya (ABS)
§  Best Attire female - Richa Rathore (ABS)
§  Best Personality male - Aman Singh  (ABS)
§  Best Personality female - Shubhi  (ABS)
Six Solo and three Dance Battles (in pairs) were included in the Dancing Competition with Twelve (12) energetic students as participants in the event. The Distinguished Judges invited for judging the competition were o  Dr. Rakhi Singh Chauhan, Prof & HoD, ALS; Dr. Shweta Singh, Assistant Professor, ASFDT; and Dr. Vikas Pandey, Professor, AIP at AUMP. The parameters for judgment were – Expressions, Costume, and Synchronization. The students declared winners for the Dancing Competition are as follows:
o   Solo Dancing: 
§  Winner - Rehan Gani – BBA, ABS
§  1st Runner up – Devi Shivani – B Sc Clinical Psychology, AIBAS 
§  2nd Runner up - Mohit Savita, MBA, ABS
o   Dancing Battle (in pairs): 
§  Winner- Sheetal Singh – BA LLB, ALS
§  Runner up - Sakshi Bhadauriya, BA (H) ENGLISH, ASL 
§  2nd Runner up - Pavaki Saluja – BBA, ABS
Five Solo Songs were included in the Singing Competition. The Distinguished Judges invited for judging the competition were o   Dr. Saroj Chaudhury, Associate Professor, ALS; Dr. Mohan Kantharia, Associate Professor, ASET; and Dr. Kul Prakash, Assistant Professor, ABS at AUMP. The parameters for judgment were – Sur (Tone), Tal (Beat/Rhythm), and Lyrics. The students declared winners for the Singing Competition were:
o   Winner - Parth Mishra – B TECH – CSE, ASET
o   Runner up - Varun Goyal – BBA LLB (H), ALS
o   2nd runner up - Prateek Niwariya, B A (H) Political Science, AISS
 
The event started with the performance of the AmiBand (Amity Student Band), led by Kaustubh Sharma, B. Tech (CSE) V semester and his band members - their names are as follows:
                Shikar Tiwari - B.Pharma III Sem 
                Gauri Pandit - BA(H) Psychology III sem 
                Manvendra Sikarwar - B-Tech CSE -III sem 
                Prem Verma - B.Pharma - I sem
                Varun Goyal - BBA LLB(H) I sem 
                Raunak Sasode - BBA III sem
The event culminated with a sensational dance performance by Seniors, Bharatnatyam Dance by          Ms. Devi Shivani – BA (H) Clinical Psychology-I, and Prize Distribution in the presence of the Hon'ble Chancellor AUMP, Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd), Officiating Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor – Prof (Dr) Anil Vashistha, Pro Vice Chancellor, Research – Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Kaushik, and the Judges, and Dignitaries.
