Brief Profile of the Guest Speaker- Arpit Kalra is an Associate Partner of S.S. Rana & Co, enrolled with Bar Council of Delhi in 2014. He is working for almost a decade at S.S. Rana & Co., currently leads the S.S. Rana & Co.’s Enforcement Team.
Having an experience in the field of IP Prosecution and IP Enforcement, he is proficient in all aspects of trademarks prosecution as well as misuse of trade marks, handling complex disputes concerning infringement of trade marks, copyright, passing off action, providing legal opinions related to protection of trademarks in India and SAARC Countries as well as other foreign jurisdictions. He has been assisting and guiding various Fortune 500 Companies in strategizing, protecting and monetizing their Intellectual Property in India and SAARC countries.
He is a member of International Trademark Association (INTA), Association for Protection of Intellectual Property in India (AIPPI), Asian Patent Attorney Association (APAA), International Bar Association (IBA) and regularly attends the said International and national conferences to broaden the legal horizons.

Brief Profile of Speaker: He is a lawyer with over twenty five years of experience in Technology, Data Privacy, Intellectual Property and New Media Laws. He is the Founding Partner of Scriboard, a full-service commercial law firm with cutting edge specialisation in technology, new media and intellectual property laws. He is the author of Guide to Cyber Laws: the Information Technology Act, 2000, E-Commerce, Data Protection and the Internet, the first section-wise analysis of the Indian Information Technology Act, 2000.
He is presently Advisor to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India on the implementation of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Mr. Ryder counsels a wide range of clients from start-ups to the Fortune 100 and represents them in litigation regarding technology law, data security, compliance with law enforcement and intellectual property strategy. He is on the Board and Advisor to leading companies. He is regularly interviewed and widely quoted by Indian and International media on technology, intellectual property and new media laws. Mr. Ryder has been nominated as a 'Leading Lawyer' in intellectual property, technology, communications and media law by Asia Law, Who'sWhoLegal, Asia Legal 500, amongst other International publications. Mr. Ryder has been listed as one of India’s leading lawyers in the ’40 under 45’ study conducted by WhosWhoLegal, United Kingdom. In 2021, Mr. Ryder was listed in ‘Super 50 TMT’ list of leading TMT lawyers in Asia published by Asian Legal Business.
His second book, Intellectual Property and the Internet [published by LexisNexis] has been acknowledged to be an authoritative work on domain name disputes by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and has been quoted in the first and only judgement by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India He is also an advisor to the National Internet Exchange of India [NIXI] and a member of the panel of independent and neutral arbitrators with NIXI.

Brief profile of the Speaker- He is an expert in managing of IP if emerging technologies and has experience in managing life cycle of emerging technologies including autonomous vehicle, AI, robotics, block chain etc.
He is also a speaker at national and international forums and actively conducts trainings and webinars for R &D teams on various aspects of IP. His area of practice is Computers and electronics engineering. Mr. Madhusudan is also experienced in handling various pre-grant and post grant oppositions at IPO and managing patent appeals.
His numbers speak for his achievements. He has experience of more than 15 years of experience with expertise on 9+ subjects and has managed more than 4.5k patents.
 
 
Report of the Workshop- The workshop was aimed to facilitate students and researchers to generate and utilize IPRs. This workshop is an effort to build an atmosphere where creativity and innovation are encouraged in public and private sectors, R&D centers, industry and academia, leading to generation of protectable IP that can be commercialized. Through this workshop it was intended to reach out to the less-visible IP generators, like Startups, MSMEs and Individual inventors with a special emphasis on the strategies involved in IP commercialization; revenue generation from the strategies adopted, as well as creating IP awareness. All the three speakers elaborated on the filling of the Intellectual Property Rights and further explained very lucidly about the commercialization of Intellectual Property. 
This one-day National workshop proved to be very fruitful for all the participants as the much-important aspect of IPR in today’s scenario i.e., Commercialization was very lucidly covered by all the three speakers.
