Amity Alumni rejoice during “Reunion-2023”
Amity University Noida campus was abuzz with emotions and memories when a large number of Amity Alumni visited the campus to be a part of “Amity Alumni Reunion-2023”, with their families and met their fellow classmates and mentors with smiles on their faces and gratitude in their hearts.
The University organized “Amity Alumni Speaks Series” in online mode, at the Amity New York Campus, which was joined by the New York Campus Alumni, wherein they shared their experiences and expressed their gratitude towards Amity University for playing a significant role in their life. Addressing the Alumni during the “Amity Alumni Speaks Series”, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Amity Education Group, said, “Amity is proud of its Alumni who have been great success stories and made their institution proud by becoming big achievers in their respective field, bringing laurels and glory to their institution, parents and country. Amity Alumni are an integral part of the Amity family and together we will transform this world and make it a better place. My blessings to each one of the Alumni who have taken out the time today to be present here with us today and may they achieve huge success in all their endeavours.”
Addressing the gathering at Amity University Noida campus, Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University, averred, “Today, the Amity campus is resonating with new vibrant energy with so many Alumni coming back to the campus. Alumni play a very significant role in achieving the vision and mission of the University besides guiding and motivating the current students of their respective institutions. It is heartening to see that each one of the Alumni recognized the great influence of Hon’ble Founder Sir, Dr. Ashok. K. Chauhan, on their life and career. While travelling abroad, I meet many Amity Alumni and if Amity is a globally respected institution today, it is because of the achievements of its Alumni. It is a proud moment for us to see the students of Amity doing so well in their respective careers and working at top leadership positions. It is the goal of Amity to organize 15 Alumni meets in every year at various campuses in India and abroad and carry this tradition forward.”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Balvinder Shukla, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, stated, “Amity lays strong emphasis on maintaining life-long relationship with its students, as it strongly believes in the philosophy, “once an Amitian, always an Amitian”. This is also a great networking opportunity wherein the Alumni can share their thoughts ideas and suggestions and nurture the future leaders who are currently studying at Amity so that they can become the most skilled human resources and entrepreneurs who can make their country proud of their achievements.”
Sharing his experience on the occasion, Mr. Shivam Verma, an Amity Alumnus and Special Judicial Magistrate (CBI), Ghaziabad, said, "I can never forget the day when I joined Amity University and the day when I graduated from here since both days are very special days of my life. Whatever I am today, it is because of the guidance and blessings received from the teachers of Amity who have shaped my career and helped me move forward in life. “
Welcoming the Alumni on this occasion, Dr. Anupam Narula, Deputy Director, Amity Alumni Relations, said, “Reunion means home coming and bonding with the Amity family. We, at Amity, remain committed to Alumni activities and value their suggestions since the Alumni have been extremely supportive and concerned about their Alma Mater and have helped us to achieve our goals. The Amity Alumni will always remain close to our hearts, and it is a strong bond which is nurtured with time.”
On this occasion, Amity Alumni were also awarded “Amity Alumni Achiever Award” by Dr. Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity University. Mr. Himanshu Bhardwaj, Chairman of BR International Group of Education received the “Amity Alumni Achiever Award for Outstanding Contribution to Education” while Mr. Vinit Tyagi, Vice President, AAPNA Infotech Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Shivam Verma, Special Judicial Magistrate (CBI), Ghaziabad received the “Amity Alumni Achiever Award for Corporate Excellence”. Ms. Neha Gupta, Founder Director of Impossible India Gurgaon was awarded the “Amity Alumni Achiever Award for Outstanding Startups” whereas the award for “Amity Alumni Achiever Award for Outstanding Public Contribution” was given to Mr. Vipul Tyagi, In-charge of Andaman and Nicobar of Bharatiya Janata Party and National Co-Treasurer of Bharatiya Kisan Morcha. In addition, Mr. Anshul Garg, MD of Mohan Electro Casting Private Limited, was awarded with “Amity Alumni Achiever Award for Outstanding Entrepreneurship”. Mr. Anuvrat Parashar, Founder, Ishantia Soft Serve and Mr. Vipul Agarwal, Founder & CEO, Mugafi.com, were awarded “Amity Alumni Achiever Award for Outstanding Contribution to Alma Mater”. Mr. Deepak Sharma, Marketing & Seller Finance, Fintech & Payment Group, Flipkart Internet Pvt. Ltd., was awarded, “Amity Alumni Achiever Award for Corporate Excellence” and the award for “Amity Alumni Achiever Award for Corporate Excellence” was given to Dr. Supriya Sharma, Chief Strategy Consultant & Executive Director, Brain Glow Business Services Pvt. Ltd.
Various sports activities for Amity Alumni and their children including paper dance, balloon dance, talent hunt, musical chair, passing the parcel, cultural programmes and a special magic show for children were also organized on this occasion. During the reunion, Amity Alumni participated in the activities with great enthusiasm and excitement, looking for hide out zones, playing tambola and participating in other fun activities with their batchmates, spouses and children.
Also present on the occasion were Dr. W. Selvamurthy, President, Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation, Dr. D.K. Bandopadhyay, Chairman, Amity Law School along with the HOIs and students of Amity in large numbers.
