 The annual Pre-Placement Training workshop was organised by ASCENT (Amity School of Communication Enhancement and Training) on 31st August, 2022 at AUMP for the final year students of all the streams across the University. The resource person Prof Sharbari Saha, Corporate Trainer, Co-founder and Director Aspiring Persona, Institute for Training and Development, Kolkata delivered an exhaustive lecture on the skills required for Campus to Corporate transition, Grooming and the role of GD and Personal Interviews in the selection process of candidates during Campus-Recruitments. The workshop was attended by the students of Final year from all the streams of Amity University Madhya Pradesh.

The workshop commenced with the cordial felicitation of the resource person by Prof (Dr) Iti Roychowdhury, Director ASCENT,ASL &AISS. After the formal welcome and introduction, the resource person Prof Sharbari Saha commenced the workshop by elaborating upon the corporate realities; the dismal skills gap between the industry and institutes and shortage of employable youth illustrated through various surveys and statistics. She further elaborated upon the corporate specific soft skills that the ever competitive industry demands. Prof. Saha emphasized that acquiring these skill are crucial not only for professional career but also for the personal development of the students.
Tips on the parameters on which GD is evaluated, characteristics of successful group discussion, and the method of participation in the GD were offered to the students. Winning strategies pertaining to GD and grooming enriched the final year students of the University. Prof Saha also threw light on Business appropriate communication and problem solving skills. 
The students showed a lot of excitement and enthusiasm to this highly interactive workshop and participated in the entire session. The resource person Prof Saha shed light on various issues faced during different stages of the campus placement process and shared tips on overcoming them. The participants raised many queries related to recruitment, selection, interviews, and GD during Q&A session which were answered comprehensively by the resource person.
The Pre placement Training Workshop was conducted in 3 sessions. The first session was attended by the final year students of ASET & AIP. The second session was attended by the final year students of ABS. The third session was attended by the final year students of AIB, ALS, ASCO, AIBAS, ASFDT, and ASAP.
The workshop was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.), Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr) M. P Kaushik, Deputy Pro VC Dr Anil Vashisht, Registrar, Mr Rajesh Jain, Director ASCENT/ ASL/AISS Dr. Iti Roychowdhury, HoIs, HoDs, Deans, the members of the faculty of ASCENT/ ASL and members of the Directorate of Placement & CRC.
The workshop ended with the concluding remarks and presentation of memento to the guest speaker. The anchors Shrawasti Mishra, student BA(H) History, V Sem,  Mahima Khalko and Tulsi Chauhan, students BA(H) Political Science V Sem kept the session lively and on track. Finally, the vote of thanks was proposed by Mahima Khalko, a student representative from BA(H) Political Science V sem.
