Webinar on Rise of Taliban in Afghanistan and it's effects on the geopolitical role of the United States in the Asia-Pacific region
The return of Taliban to power has the potential to destabilize the regional and international security architecture and the geopolitical environment. It also raises several questions on the role of the United States as a net security provider in the Asia Pacific Region. The webinar on the topic "Rise of Taliban in Afghanistan and it effects on the Geopolitical role of United States in the Asia-Pacific region" organized by Dr Ashutosh Singh of Amity School of Liberal Arts on 6th October provided an opportunity to hear the perspectives of a nationally renowned academician in the field of International Relations and Security Studies on this very sensitive and contemporary issue. Prof. Manish, Dean, Department of International Studies, Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar is an internationally recognized authority on the field and he provided his expert views on the topic. Dr Ashutosh Singh moderated the event which was to be hosted by Dr. Prof. Rahul Tripathi as HOI Amity School of Liberal Arts. The session was very informative for its participants and went a long way in enlightening them about the political instability in Afghanistan and its effects on the US role in the Asia-Pacific security framework.
