A 6-Day Online Guest Lecture Series (5th – 10th July 2021) on ‘Tribal Culture, Language and Practices: An Ecofeminist Perspective’ sponsored by  UGC STRIDE Component I, Organized in collaboration with Nirmala College, Ranchi and Amity University Jharkhand, was inaugurated on 5th July 2021 and 10th July marked the Valedictory Ceremony.
 
The Inaugural session began with the welcome address of Dr. Sr. Jyoti Kispotta, Principal, Nirmala College, Ranchi followed by the address of Prof. (Dr.) Raman Kumar Jha, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand and Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand. They appreciated the organizers for framing such an informative and almost untouched topic to deliberate on and extended their good wishes and constant support for such events in future. 
The six days of the research-oriented deliberation dwelt upon the theory of Ecofeminisim, its western philosophy to its Indianization and its application to literary studies. Eminent speakers pan India shared their in-depth knowledge on tribal issues specially related to women and nature while drawing references from the tribes and tribal women writers of Jharkhand.
 
The Valedictory session commenced with the welcoming of the dignitaries, esteemed speakers, academicians, research scholars and academicians from across Indian colleges and Universities. It was followed by the addresses Dr. Sr. Jyoti Kispotta, Prof. (Dr.) Raman Kumar Jha, and Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar, Amity University Jharkhand.
 
Prof. (Dr,) Raman Kumar Jha said that the real issues faced by the tribes of Jharkhand needs recognition, where education can play an important role to access the knowledge and help everyone, and for which he extended his complete support. Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi, said that these marginalised group depend on environmental aspects and should be brought to the forefront as their cultural practices are wonderful.
 
The event ended by thanks-giving to all the organizers and contributors in making it a success and with the promise to come back with a bang with other such fruitful event.
