Amity College of Nursing celebrated International Nurses day on 12th May 2021

Amity College of Nursing celebrated International Nurses day on 12th May 2021. This event was coordinated by the International Council of Nurses (ICN) to appreciate that the invaluable contributions of nurses to the health of people globally are recognized.

The main objective of the event was to create awareness among nursing students regarding significance of International Nurses Day and provide the opportunity for nursing students to bring new ideas for reducing mortality and morbidity toll of COVID 19, To motivates nursing students for prospective thinking of future nursing care with the active participation and contribution via poster, a Panel discussion was oraganized on “Nurses role in decreasing the mortality and morbidity of people due to COVID 19.” Also, A poster competition on “Nurses Vision for Future Healthcare” and Collage making competition: “Commitment of Nurse in difficult times of COVID 19.” Were also organised.

The topics for panelist were as follows

1.   Understanding the second wave of COVID 19: Mr. Sourabh, B.Sc Nursing VIII Sem

2.   Primary prevention of COVID 19 and universal vaccination: Ms. Simran, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing 2nd sem

3.   Early identification, testing and isolation of COVID 19: Ms. Khushboo, B.Sc Nursing 2nd sem

4. Effective Home care management of COVID 19: Ms. Deepali, B.Sc Nursing IV Sem

5.   When to Hospitalize the COVID 19 patient: Mr. Mohit Koli, B.Sc Nursing 2nd sem

6.   Oxygen therapy and Effective Care of COVID 19 Patients in General wards of Hospitals: Mr. Yash Dabas, B.Sc Nursing 2nd sem

7.      Effective Care of COVID 19 Patients in ICU: Mr. Durgesh, B.Sc Nursing 4th sem

Overall, the event was very informative and all the panellists were contributing maximum points to justify their topics. At the end of event, Mr. Naveena J.H A.P-3 gave a formal vote of thanks to all for the grand success of the event.

3. 3rd Winner: Ms. Srishti, M.Sc Nursing 2nd sem and Ms. Himanshi, B.Sc Nursing 2nd  sem

All the winners and participants were appreciated.
