Amity Medical School Organized session internship opportunities and resume building on 7th April 2021.

The session was meant for the students to gain an insight on resume building and the importance of internships. Students of AMS studying in the second, fourth and final semesters require a training for internships. It gives them edge and confidence to apply as well actively work towards the same. This session was planned with a view of highlighting the importance of internship as a part of curriculum and also in the long run as professionals.

Mr. Manoj Sahani Director, Corporate Resource Centre and Mr. Ankur Gupta, Deputy Director, Corporate Resource Centre took the session and explains about the role of CRC in the university. He further explained how the process of summer internships and major internships takes place in the campus. He shared details of the team as well his department for any further contact by any student.

The session proceeded with a detailed explanation on the vitality of internships and its impact on the job profile of a candidate. He also explained the differences between a virtual and an offline internship. He further added how important it is to learn during this period and not to shy away from any responsibilities given by the senior. The session also threw light on the major areas of internships the students can seek and the skills required for cracking them. Mr. Manoj then further added on the field of interest for the medical students and how new arenas are opening for them to apply.

The second part of the session focused on resume building in which the team showcased a sample resume. They pointed out the importance of the format and the flow. Errors commonly committed by students were also shared to give them an insight of what to avoid.

There was an interactive session towards the end wherein students asked their queries regarding processes and skill sets. Elaborate explanations were given by the team to quench the curiosity of the students.
