20TH MARCH 2021
Amity Law School organized one day Parliamentary Debate on the topic “Inter Faith Marriages and Secular Democracy” in virtual mode on 20th March 2021. In this competition total 15 teams participated from all over India. Each team consisted of 3 members. 12 Adjudicators participated to judge the sessions and debate.
The event began with the opening remarks given by Maj Gen Rajinder Kumar AVSM SM VSM (Retd), Director Amity Law School. The competition took place in preliminary, semifinal and final round.
Teams that qualified for final round were: Team of KRG College, AUMP and NIMS Mumbai- Mixed and Amity Law School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh
The winning team was Team of KRG College, AUMP and NIMS Mumbai- Mixed Runners up Team Amity Law School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh
Best Adjudicator was shared by two contestants, Ms Somya Verma, DU Delhi and Vaishnavi Sudha DU Delhi
Best Speake adjudged was Ms Tanya Bajaj, ALS AUMP
The Valedictory Session was held on MS Teams.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt Gen V K Sharma, Vice Chancellor AUMP delivered the welcome address. The report of event was presented by Prof Dr Rakhi Singh Chouhan, HoD ALS.
The Chief Guest of valedictory session was Mr Mahendra Singh Solanki sitting Member of Parliament (Loksabha) and Dr Soumya Gurjar Mahapaur Jaipur Rajasthan.
Adjudicators announced the results of their sessions and Dr Rakhi Singh announced the result of Best Adjudicator. The Closing remarks were addressed by Prof Dr M P Kaushik, Pro Vice Chancellor AUMP. Vote of Thanks was delivered by Maj General Rajinder Kumar AVSM SM VSM (Retd),Director ALS.
