Amity University Jharkhand Celebrated 72nd Republic Day

Amity University Jharkhand celebrated the 72nd Republic Day, on 26th January 2021 with great patriotism and enthusiasm.

The celebration was graced with the presence of Prof. Dr. Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand, Prof. Dr. Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand and Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar, Amity University Jharkhand.

The program started with the Flag hoisting followed by National Anthem. On this auspicious occasion Dr. Raman Kumar Jha welcomed the august gathering and said. “There are events in lifewhich all the people of the country celebrate, this is that day. Winning freedomitself is a struggle and deciding to ruleourselves,by ourselves itself is also a struggle. We are proud that today we stand independent, we stand free, we stand still united for the cause of the nation. I dedicate this day tomy students, faculty members, staff members to just remember those who have struggled hard,it’s not the memory that’s important, but to preserve it. If we are aligning ourselves to the cause of the nation that would be enough.

Prof. Dr. Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University Jharkhand said, “Weall got freedom with lot of struggles and we must protect this precious freedom with responsibility. Only this sovereignty makes us an independent country. Other than this, we can have population, we may have different governments, but we were not independent or we werenot republic in true sense until we had sovereignty. The sovereignty gets meaning only when we accept our Constitution in true sense. It was for the first time on 26th January 1950 that we accepted and submitted ourselves to our noble Constitution.”

Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi,Registrar, Amity University Jharkhand addressed the audience and said; "The day we are born we get our parents, parents name and another proud identity that we are Indian. It is that time itself that we become indebted to parentsand most importantly to our country. But we must remember that with freedom which we got, we should also be responsible citizens."

This occasion was also chosen for the Badge distribution to the University Captain & Vice- Captain, AUJ (2020-2021).The program was then followed by a cultural performance and a vote of thanks.
